Sarah Cooper takes the words out of Donald Trump’s mouth

Cooper is a black woman, a former Google employee, and the mind behind a book called How to succeed without hurting men’s feelings. He didn’t want to be like Trump as much as he wanted to experiment with him. What if he tried to get rid of the scam? What if she repeated her words and the people around her didn’t shut her up, only by nodding and smiling?

“What if,” as she says, “I could pretend I’m the smartest person in the room, just bullshit all my life?”

In a world where women are socialized to meet other people’s expectations and emotions, it has been a captivating proposition. And for Cooper, the videos became a social experiment: “As a black woman, could I just sit there and act like that?”

Cooper – who was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States as a child – knows the bias that creeps in, keeping someone who looks like her at a higher level than someone who looks like the president. He wanted his audience to consider him as a man who speaks how he could get so far.

In a sense, her work is a provocation: if Sarah Cooper had made those speeches, lying on that weather map, proving unable to finish her sentences and to propose that the American people inject themselves bleach to kill a virus, not she would have been president. You know it. We too.

Cooper’s most beloved videos immortalize Trump in his most absurd form. There was obviously the time when his speculative treatment of coronavirus included the swallowing of disinfectants, but also the time when he boasted that a million people wanted to show up at one of his gatherings (only 6,200 people haunted) or when he boasted of undergoing a cognitive test which he later reported revealed that he had asked him to choose an elephant from an animal farm.

Filming takes Cooper between 10 minutes and five hours to film, although she is the first to admit that her methods are bare bones. (“Someone wrote to me and said, ‘Is there a huge team of people that makes this production quality seem really low?’ I was like, ‘No, this is just a very low production quality.'”)

In each one she wears the same jacket and the props are minimal. No one else even appears on the screen. If he wants to catch a horrified reaction to any wild claim Trump is making, he replaces his jacket with some other garment, changes his hair and channels that person too. Sometimes he is a disturbed helper or a journalist. Most of the time, it is a support for us, wincing.

The main international fashion news of the week

Gucci will host the collections without season

The designers are donating to the Black Lives Matter movement, and Gucci hosts two “seasonless” collections twice a year. Find these stories and more as we discover the week’s top international fashion news.

1. Stylists who donate to the Black Lives material movement

Fashion brands and stylists are showing solidarity and support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Many designers have posted on social media in support of the fight, including Alexander Wang, who has pledged to donate the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, the Black Lives Matter and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute. Likewise, Fabletics has also promised the brand, with the sportswear company donating $ 50,000 to the ACLU for justice and “immediate change”. Comme will also donate all of its proceeds this week to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

In addition, the CFDA launched an initiative to support black talent in the fashion industry. In an announcement by Tom Ford and Steven Kolb, the CFDA announced the debut of its internal work program, which aims to implement a diversified and balanced working environment for its members. The board will also create mentoring programs and internships for black and recent graduates in the fashion industry.

View this post on Instagram

Given the deplorable acts of racism and violence that we have witnessed in our country over the past week, our response as an organization has been first and foremost in our minds and hearts. Blacks in this country are recovering from years of injustice resulting from institutional constructs such as slavery, segregation, mass incarceration, police brutality and economic and electoral repression. The black community is experiencing anger and frustration in addition to the effects of the global pandemic that has hit black communities the hardest. Having a clear voice and speaking out against racial injustice, bigotry and hatred is the first step, but that’s not enough. It is not enough to simply say that we are in solidarity with those who are discriminated against. We must do something. The CFDA outlines the initiatives that will be immediately taken to create a systemic change in our sector: • The CFDA will create an internal work program specifically tasked with placing black talents in all sectors of the fashion sector to help achieve a racially balanced sector . This program will be responsible for identifying black creatives and associating these individuals with companies they wish to hire. • The CFDA will also create a mentoring program and an internship program focused on the placement of black and recent graduate students within established companies in the fashion industry. • The CFDA will implement and make available to our members a training program on diversity and inclusion. • We will make immediate contributions and undertake fundraising activities in support of charitable organizations aimed at equalizing the playing field for the black community such as, but not limited to, the NAACP and the Zero Campaign – among others. We urge all CFDA members to take stock of their corporate structure to ensure that they have a racially balanced workforce and challenge the retail sector in the fashion industry to ensure that their brand list and their assortment of products are representative of the black talent in our sector. Sincerely, Tom Ford, President Steven Kolb, President and CEO #blacklivesmatter

2. Gucci will host the collections without season

Gucci will no longer hold a traditional fashion program, the designer said at a press conference. Instead, the Italian fashion house will host collections “without season” twice a year for a more sustainable future. “I will abandon the worn rituals of seasonality and show that I will regain a new cadence, closer to my expressive call,” said Alessandro Michele, creative director.

“We will meet only twice a year to share the chapters of a new story. Irregular, joyful and absolutely free chapters, which will be written mixing rules and genres, feeding on new spaces, linguistic codes and communication platforms. And beyond. I would like to leave the leitmotiv paraphernalia that colonized our previous world: cruise, pre-autumn, spring-summer, autumn-winter. I think these are old and subdued words. Labels of an impersonal speech that has lost its meaning. ”

3. Pitti Immagine calls the physical event

Pitti Immagine has canceled its physical events for the season, including Pitti Uomo, which will take place from 2 to 4 September. The event based in Florence and its board of directors “recognized the insufficient number of confirmations of presence and the persistent difficulties of the companies”.

“We believed in it until the end, we were determined to maintain the role of Pitti fashion shows as an essential tool for commercial promotion at the service of the Italian fashion industry and in particular of those small and medium-sized enterprises of excellence and craftsmanship that we have always represented “said Claudio Marenzi, president of Pitti Immagine.

4. Jackson Yee appointed Tiffany & Co. Ambassador

Jackson Yee is the new ambassador of Tiffany & Co. The brand plans to expand in China and this partnership is one of its first moves. The Chinese singer is wearing men’s rose gold jewelry, which is a popular choice for the market. “In China, the male customer is much more involved, much more enthusiastic about men’s fashion and much more comfortable in wearing jewelry, cosmetics, fashion in all these different categories,” said Reed Krakoff, chief artistic director of Tiffany. “The opportunity is really quite large.”

5. Dolce & Gabbana takes part in the digital fashion week in Milan

Dolce & Gabbana participates in Milan Fashion Week together with Gucci and Bottega Veneta. The Camera della Moda, which manages the event, has close ties with Dolce & Gabbana over two decades ago, but this venture represents something “new”. “I consider it more an entrance, since in the meantime everything has changed a lot, so much time has passed and everything is new,” said Carlo Capsa, President of the Chamber. “This is an important message of unity and solidarity in such a difficult time. It has a symbolic value. ”

The best biceps workout for muscular arms

Biceps workout

The sun shoots with the latest men’s biceps workout. Not only do the large toned biceps look great, but the biceps muscles are also responsible for a significant amount of arm functions and movements. Increase the day of the arms in the gym with exercises aimed at all parts of the biceps and supporting muscles. The following training also aims to work the muscles through all their functions, from the rotation of the forearm, to the flexion of the elbow and the movement of the shoulder. Level up with combo sets that allow you to load weight, as well as incorporating resistance bands to eliminate the weak parts of some classic exercises.

Biceps muscles

The biceps muscles help move the shoulder and elbow joints, as well as twisting the forearm. This muscle creates many general arm movements and functions. The main muscle is the two-headed brachial biceps, which is located in the front of the arm and is the most visible arm muscle. It is supported by the deeper brachial muscle and the brachioradialis of the forearm. Understanding the biceps muscle makeup will allow you to train harder and more effectively for maximum gains.

Biceps muscles

Biceps muscles

Brachial Biceps – Short head

The short head of the brachial biceps is located in the inner front of the arm, closer to the chest. It attaches to the shoulder blade and elbow.

Brachial Biceps – Long head

The long head of the muscle is located on the external side of the front of the arm, fixing itself from above the shoulder joint, up to the elbow.

brachial

Attacking from the middle humerus, the brachial is located deeper than the brachial biceps and supports flexion of the elbow joint.

brachioradial

Sitting lower in the forearm is the brachioradialis, which helps the brachial biceps to flex the elbow joint.

The best men’s biceps exercises

The best way to perform the perfect biceps workout is to work the muscle through all three of its key functions: twisting the forearm, bending the elbow and flexing the shoulder. Curls will be the basis of every move because you are working on a zipper. However, to elevate your exercises, you have to challenge each muscle more by increasing the intensity of each move. In addition, it is necessary to bring the muscle through the full range of movements, from full contraction to full extension. This training is based on Jeff Cavaliere’s ATHLEAN-X program. He was the chief physiotherapist and assistant strength trainer for the New York Mets. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in physical training and is a certified specialist in endurance and conditioning. As such, in addition to being crazy about himself, his workouts are supported by science.

1 bis. Barbell cheat curls

Setting the number one for maximum biceps training has two parts that should be completed as a fall set. This is a great exercise that will allow you to overload your weights. Biceps are stronger when lowering weight than when lifting it. Therefore, by performing a cheat curl, you can use a heavier weight that will make your arms work harder while lowering the barbell, creating more mass.

Curl with barbell

Curl with barbell

execution

  • Choose a slightly heavier weight than you would normally use in a barbell curl.
  • Stand with your feet slightly wider than your hip, with your back straight and your core engaged.
  • Start with the bar down, keeping it with your palms facing forward.
  • Raise the barbell to chest height. Since this is a cheat curl, you can use the momentum to lift the bar, engaging the muscles other than the biceps and using a slight swing. Keep in mind that you don’t want to lean back. You should keep your back straight at the top of the move.
  • Slowly lower the barbell to its initial position, making your muscles work harder as you lower them.
  • Repeat until failure, then immediately switch to the barbell drag curls.

Tax: 3

reps: To fail

1b. Curl with barbell

The barbell drag curls will shift the focus of the move based on the preference of the long head of the biceps. As another big move, you can use the same weights as curly beards. The goal of this exercise is to move the elbows behind the body, rather than forward.

Curl with barbell

Curl with barbell

execution

  • Start in the same position that you held in the curl of the barbel: the feet are wider than the width of the hip, straight back, engaged core, palms facing forward.
  • Lift the bar, focusing on pulling the elbows behind the torso. The bar should remain close to your body, stopping at the lower ribcage at the top of the move.
  • While you do this, keep your elbows tucked in, you don’t want to spread them to the sides.
  • Lower back with control.
  • Repeat until failure, then rest, before repeating the set drop two more times.

Tax: 3

reps: To fail

2. Weighted chin-ups

The classic weighted chin-up is another excellent option for loading biceps with large weights. This works the biceps through all three of their functions. The arm moves both on the shoulder and on the elbow, furthermore the forearm is twisted away from the body. This is another exercise to be performed as a set of drops, combined with the curls on the chin with peak contraction.

Weighted chin straps

Weighted chin straps

execution

  • Attach the weight you have chosen around the waist.
  • Hold on the chin bar, palms facing you. Keep your body as straight as possible, with your core engaged.
  • Start with your arms extended and raised, so that your chin is above the bar.
  • Try not to swing your body to get up, focus on using only your arms and shoulders.
  • Repeat the operation until broken, then immediately move between the curls of the chin with peak contraction.

Tax: 3

reps: To fail

3. Curls of banded dumbbells

Dumbbell curls are another classic exercise to include in your biceps workout. It works well with two of the functions of the biceps: flexing the elbow and twisting the forearm. This time, however, you’ll need to activate beast mode by adding resistance bands. The strength curve of the exercise shows that it becomes easier when you reach the top of the move. So to keep the difficulty throughout the move, resistance bands add that extra challenge when you reach the top.

Curls of banded dumbbells

Curls of banded dumbbells

execution

  • Get ready with your resistance band. Hook the bottom of the band under your feet, your toes facing out.
  • Hold the barbells and resistance band with both hands.
  • Start with your arms by your side.
  • Lift the weights to shoulder height, palms facing you. The resistance bands should be tight enough to really feel it through the top half of the lift.
  • Slowly lower your weight to hip height, with control.
  • Repeat until failure, for three sets.

Tax: 3

reps: To fail

4. Inclined dumbbell curls

Similar to bands of exercises that add difficulty at the end of a move, you can switch to the beginning with an inclined curve of the dumbbell. Starting with the arms behind the body also allows you to fully stretch the biceps, then work it for its entire range of movement.

Dumbell Incline Curl

Dumbell Incline Curl

execution

    • Sit on your reclining seat, with your back reclined between 50 and 60 degrees.
    • Hold the dumbbells by your sides, with your arms fully extended. The hands should be slightly seated behind the body.
    • Lift the weights, with the palm facing you, until the biceps are fully contracted, about chest height.
    • Lower the weights back, with control, until your arms are fully extended again. Increase the intensity but tightening the triceps at the bottom of the move, ensuring maximum lengthening of the long head of the biceps.
  • Repeat until failure, for two sets.

Tax: 2

reps: To fail

5. Dumbbell Curl Trifecta

Finish your biceps workout with an epic triple threat. This bicep curl will take advantage of shoulder rotation to hit each head of the biceps and the brachialis. You will make three different curls, one after the other, with the position of the shoulder and hand changing in each. Use the same weight for each position.

Wooden head with internal biceps curls

Wooden head with internal biceps curls

Dumbell Curl standing internal biceps

Dumbell Curl standing internal biceps

execution

  • Stand with your feet slightly wider than your hip, your body straight, your core engaged.
  • Start with your hands down at your sides.
  • The first rep will target the long head of the biceps. Lift the weight and across the chest, so that the move ends in front of the opposite shoulder. Be aware of your hands. We recommend that you end with your palms facing up and your thumb facing forward. This means that you will twist that forearm while you lift.
  • Lower the weight on your hips.
  • The second representative will target the brachial. Lift the weight and across the chest, so that the move ends in front of the opposite shoulder. Again, be aware of your hands. This time, you will want to end with the palms facing down and the thumb towards the body.
  • Lower the weight on your hips.
  • The final representative of the trifecta is going for the short head. Instead of turning the shoulder inward, you will turn it out. It looks like a normal bicep curl, but with the shoulder turned more outward so that the arms move to the side rather than the front of the body. The move should end with the hand raised from the outside of the shoulder.
  • Lower the weight on your hips.
  • These three different repetitions constitute a repetition of the trifecta, therefore repeating eight times, you will perform 24 curls in total on each arm.
  • Repeat for two sets.

Tax: 2

reps: 8, in each position on each arm

Black and white is such a classic combo; it makes sense to apply it to modern nail art. This look is incredibly versatile and can be adapted to most designs. Keep it simple with fine black lines crossing white nails, add in the zig-zags, or choose to alternate black on white and white on black. To prevent the look from becoming messy, paint a few of your nails a block color to anchor the design. Doing so looks especially good if you have a busier pattern, such as stripes, on the fancy nails.

15. Cute Nail Art Design

A cute pastel palette will take you from the office to casual weekends with ease. However, rather than keep it simple, opt for a cute design using different shapes and shades, with black highlights. You can really let your creative juices flow with this nail art. Cute designs like this are best suited for shorter, or more rounded nail shapes like rounded, almond, or oval nails. Plus, the matte finish is a lovely variation on regular high-gloss polishes and lends itself well to the pastel colors.

16. Dot Nail Art Design

This dot nail art is simple and to the point. One of the most significant benefits of this design is the flexibility. You can use the same base color for all your nails, opt for a tonal variation on the same shade, or pick a rainbow of colors for each finger. Then, use a contrasting shade for a simple, large dot in a random spot on each finger. It looks elegant and is very wearable for an everyday look. Plus, this distinct design is easy to do at home.

17. White and Nude Nail Art Design

Take a twist on the classic French manicure with this white and nude nail art design. This design, which uses concentric arcs of different thicknesses, looks excellent on oval, rounded, and almond-shaped nails. By alternating the feature color on each nail, between the nude and white, you create additional interest. Ensure your arcs are the same shape by using a stencil; otherwise, the effect may be lost with uneven linework.

18. Black, White, and Nude Nail Design

Start your engine and get ready to race with this black, white, and nude nail design. The black and white checkered line is suggestive of the starting line on a race track, and you’ll be winning the fashion race in no time. Nail stickers are the easiest way to achieve this look. Plus, it makes creating those lines so much more straightforward. Alternate the direction of the lines for interest and movement. Finally, the nude base color allows the black and white to stand out and make a unique statement. While you could switch to a different base, it wouldn’t have quite the same impact.

A nude coat of polish underneath allows the gold design to stand out. The easiest way to achieve this look is to go for a chrome decal. Doing so gives you more flexibility with designs and patterns. Plus, by selecting a design, rather than painting a couple of nails full chrome, ensures your nail art looks intentional.

26. Nude and Olive Nail Art Design

Olive nail polish can be tricky to come by, but like other shades of green, it’s a very versatile color. The earthiness allows it to act more neutral, blending well with other colors around it. Opt for something different with this nail art design, which uses an opaque nude and the olive to shape an oval, yet leaves the rest of the nail bare. This look is best suited to oval and almond-shaped nails, as the design flows smoothly with the nail shape.

Like any quality color combination, this is going to look good in any design — stripes, dots, waves, or chevrons. However, the white wave and red tip are particularly excellent. 28. Baby Blue White Nude Nail Art

These dual-colored tips are a great adaptation of a French manicure. The combination of bright white and baby blue, on a nude background, is fresh and vibrant, making it perfect for summer. Ensure you have clean lines by using nail tape as a guide for the tip. Plus, make sure to finish with a good quality top coat to prevent chipping the tips of your nails.

Baby Blue White Nude Nail Art

29. Pastel Nail Art Designs

Keep it pretty with pastels. This nail art design features both multicolor chevrons and half-tipped nails. Keeping the chevrons on just one finger on each hand ensures the look is balanced and not overly complicated. Plus, using different fingers and chevron sizes adds extra dimension and interest. It all ties together nicely by using the same four colors that feature in the chevron on each other finger. This is a wonderful look for a tropical vacation, girls’ weekend, or even just a casual date night.

Pastel Nail Art Designs

30. Cubism Nail Art Design

Channel your inner Picasso with some Cubism nail art. Cubism was a revolutionary style of art, which used squares and geometric shapes to show all angles of the subject at once. Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque were the pioneers of this art form. While it’s challenging to fit a full masterpiece on your nails, take inspiration from Cubism by using lines, circles, and dots to create your own art sensation. A nude background and limited but bold palette of black, red, and silver create the biggest impact with design. Like many nail art designs, if you’re not confident in painting, choose nail decals or stickers for a more effortless outcome, with just as much punch.

25 Finger Tattoos That Will Never Go Out of Style

Finger Tattoo

Finger tattoos have become very popular recently, and it’s easy to see why. While smaller than most tattoos, these inkings are no less meaningful and can be adapted to suit any style. From bold and statement-making to tiny and delicate, there’s a finger tattoo out there to suit everyone. Feeling inspired to get one of your own? Keep reading to find out all about finger tattoos and discover the best designs that will stand the test of time.

Do Finger Tattoos Hurt?

While all tattoos carry some degree of pain, most people consider finger tattoos to hurt more than tattoos on the arm or wrist. That’s because the nerves and bones in our fingers are close to the skin. There is also very little muscle or fat to act as a protective cushion from the needle. However, finger tattoos are, by definition, small, so they take less time to complete. As a result, the pain won’t last long and will be easier to manage.

How Quickly do Finger Tattoos Fade?

Because we use and wash our hands so frequently every day, finger tattoos are some of the fastest inkings to fade and blur. To keep yours looking crisp and vibrant, make sure you follow all the aftercare instructions very carefully in the first few days after getting the tattoo. Choose blue or black ink over other colors as the dark pigment will look fresher for longer, and try to avoid inking over your knuckles as these tattoos tend to fade even faster. Finally, book an appointment with your tattoo artist every 10 to 12 months for a touch-up.

This is one of the most common questions about piercings. In short, yes, however, there is good news. While a septum piercing will hurt because you are making a hole through the skin, the pain is short-lived. It may make your eyes water or you may sneeze, but once the needle has passed, this is the worst. It is more than likely that what you imagine is pain, it is much worse than reality. How much does the septum piercing cost

The cost of a septum piercing will vary depending on where you do it and which jewelry you choose. Prices can range from $ 40 to $ 100. However, there are several important factors to consider when choosing a location. Professionalism and cleanliness are the priority. There is nothing more important than ensuring that your piercer is using appropriate hygiene practices, which include a clean place and properly sterilized tools. Also, since a septum piercing is complicated, ideally, you want someone with more experience. Therefore, it may be worth spending extra money to make sure you get professional service. Make sure you do your research, read reviews, ask for a portfolio, or even see if you can visit before making an appointment. Finally, the choice of jewelry will also determine the cost. Preferably implant stainless steel, titanium, real gold or biocompatible white gold is desired.

Where to pierce the septum

When performing a septum piercing, it is important to make sure that the piercing passes through the correct place. There is a small, thin membrane of skin that is located in the center of the nose, between the end of the cartilage and the top of the hardest and thickest part at the end of the nostrils. That thin membrane is where the piercing passes. It can be more challenging to reach, which is why finding an experienced puncher is a good idea. The best part of the needle running through such a thin skin is that it is much easier and less painful than cartilage or thick tissue.

How to clean a septum piercing

Aftercare is as important as choosing a professional and hygienic piercer. The best way to keep the septum piercing clean is to rinse it regularly with a sterile saline solution or sea salt solution. Start by washing your hands thoroughly. Then, soak a clean cotton ball or gauze in the saline solution and keep it on the piercing for 10 minutes. Do this twice a day for the first six weeks of healing. We also recommend that you avoid touching it or moving it in those first few weeks. If you need to tuck it up for work, move it when rinsing with salt. Finally, it can take up to six months for the piercing to heal completely. So, up to 18 months for the piercing to heal 100%. Therefore, avoid changing your jewelry early, as this can prolong the healing time or even cause infections.

How to treat an infected septum piercing

Piercings can become infected for many reasons. It could come from unsterilized piercing equipment, inadequate care or too much touching the piercing. Infection occurs when bacteria enter the piercing, causing inflammation. It can be dangerous if left untreated. It is normal for the piercing to be a little painful, crunchy and also show a white discharge during healing. However, if there are yellow or green leaks, excessive or rising swelling or heat around the piercing, you may have an infection. To treat an infection, continue with salt rinses or salt water two or even three times a day, if you can. Use a cotton swab dipped in solution to gently remove the crustiness and allow air to circulate around the piercing. If it’s not getting better or worse, you need a trip to your GP for some antibiotics.

Removal of a septum piercing

Removing the septum piercing once it is completely healed is relatively easy. You may want to remove it to change the jewelry, or if you have had a change of heart. If you are changing your jewelry, make sure that you have washed your hands thoroughly and that the new jewelry is disinfected, so as not to contract an infection. Alternatively, if you’ve changed your mind, you can always switch to horseshoe jewelry that you can tuck into your nose to hide. However, if you are sure you want to remove the piercing entirely, the best thing about a septum piercing is that while there will be a scar, it will not be visible. The hole where the piercing was located will eventually close, but it will take some time. Remember, the longer you have had the piercing, the longer it will take to close it.

Septum piercing for men

Septum piercings are not just a look for women, boys can give it inside too. Indeed, the origins of septum piercings lie in the tribal and warrior traditions of Native American, Indian, Guinean New Guinea and Pacific islands cultures. Nothing says manly how to pass a body modification ritual to come of age. More recently, the septum ring has been linked to punk and alternative subcultures and rebellion from traditional culture. Finally, nowadays, septum piercing for boys can have many meanings, from rebellion against your parents to an angular choice or for cultural significance.

Faux septum piercing

If you like the idea of a septum piercing, but are not yet ready to commit, or are not so fond of needles and pain, a fake septum piercing is just makeup. Faux septum rings hook onto the thick part between the nostrils and can be easily inserted and removed. There are many places to buy fake septum rings online, as well as brick and mortar stores. Consider both your style and the material it is made of when looking for the perfect one. There are options from simple rings to elaborate mandalas filled with crystals. Material options include gold, silver, titanium, stainless steel and even plastic. Plus, fake septum piercings can be a lot cheaper than the real deal!

THE BEST PURCHASES

Septum piercing jewelry

Just like fake septum jewelry, there is an abundance of styles and material options for the real deal. However, since the ring is sitting through the nose, for long periods, a material that does not irritate is needed. This is especially important while the piercing is still healing. As such, opt for implant stainless steel, titanium, real gold or biocompatible white gold at the time of the piercing. When the piercing has completely healed, you can try options like silver or surgical steel. As for the style, it really depends on you. The horseshoe shape is easily hidden, which is excellent if the job is not suitable for facial piercing, or your grandmother has stated that your style choices are a shame. There are delicate circles for an elegant look, jeweled mandalas for something more extravagant or thick rings for a more angular look. It’s a look that you can easily adapt to your style.

The soft, blush hues and elegantly curved petals of magnolias make them perfect for a delicate tattoo. One of the oldest plant species, magnolias, appeared on Earth before bees, so they are pollinated by beetles – making their flowers extremely tough as a result. For these reasons, many cultures associate magnolias with perseverance, dignity, and long life, as well as feminine beauty. Magnolia tattoos are ideal for women who combine beauty and strength.

10. Poppy Flower Tattoo

Poppies are a profoundly symbolic flower. In ancient times, people offered red poppies to the dead. Today, they are most commonly used to commemorate soldiers who have died in wars; people frequently wear them to mark Armistice Day in November. For that reason, a poppy tattoo could be a moving tribute to friends or relatives who have served in the armed forces.

11. Narcissus Flower Tattoo

The narcissus – commonly known as the daffodil – is one of the most joyful and optimistic flowers. That is because these golden yellow flowers bloom at the start of spring, symbolizing the end of the long, cold, and dark winter months. For the same reason, daffodils are also associated with rebirth and renewal, making them the perfect floral tattoo choice for women who are hopeful and happy.

12. Gladiolus Flower Tattoo

The gladiolus flower represents strength and integrity, sincerity, and honesty, as well as passion. Its name comes from the Latin word gladius, meaning ‘sword,’ as it grows in a long and pointed shape. The gladiolus is an excellent choice for women who value these characteristics but still want a feminine and delicate floral tattoo. Because of the form of the gladiolus, it suits placement on long and narrow parts of the body, like the leg, thigh, or arm.

13. Violet Flower Tattoo

Violets are an ideal choice for a spiritual flower tattoo because of their meaning in Christianity. These delicate purple flowers are associated with the Virgin Mary and, as a result, have come to be associated with modesty and humility – which is why we use the phrase “shrinking violet” to describe a humble person. In classical art, painters often used violets to represent spiritual wisdom and devotion.

14. Dainty Flower Tattoo

Danity tattoos of all kinds have become very popular in recent years. Small and pretty, these designs are often drawn in black ink using very fine lines. The meaning of these inkings depends on the type of flower the artist draws. However, most dainty flower tattoos represent the fleeting nature of beauty, a love of the natural world, or act as a reminder to always see the beauty in life.

15. Flower Bouquet Tattoo

Women who can’t decide on just one flower tattoo could consider a bouquet. Choose several different flowers with contrasting shapes, sizes, and leaves, and ask your tattoo artist to create a bouquet design. To give your tattoo a delicate finish, ask for light shading and soft, pastel colors – perhaps with a watercolor effect. A simple black ink tattoo with fine lines could also be a great option.

16. Japanese Flower Tattoo

Traditional Japanese tattoos – known as irezumi – often use flowers to create vibrant and beautiful designs. The cherry blossom, or sakura, is the most well-known Japanese flower and represents the transience and beauty of life. It is also associated with feminine beauty and grace. The chrysanthemum – sometimes called ‘the king of flowers’ – is also frequently used in Japanese tattoos. It is associated with royalty, perfection, and longevity. Peonies and lotus flowers are also popular for Japanese tattoos.

17. Hawaiian Flower Tattoo

The yellow hibiscus is the state flower of Hawaii. Traditionally, the delicate yet brightly colored plant represents hospitality and respect. It is also associated with happiness and luck. Meanwhile, red and white hibiscus flowers – which also grow in Hawaii – are often associated with beauty and love. Another iconic flower that grows in Hawaii is the frangipani or plumeria. People make the iconic lei garlands from these flowers, which are given to guests to welcome them to the islands.

18. Traditional Flower Tattoo

The traditional tattoo style – also called the Old School style – uses saturated colors and lines to create bold and stylized designs. However, it can be adapted by a skilled artist to make delicate floral tattoos too. Brightly-colored flowers such as red roses, yellow primrose, and pink cherry blossom are popular options. Ask your artist to add some deep green leaves for contrast. Doing so creates a beautiful and eye-catching finished result.

19. Flower of Life Tattoo

Unlike other floral tattoos, the flower of life design is not based on a plant. Instead, it is a geometric pattern made up of seven overlapping circles. These circles then appear to create a beautiful effect that mimics a flower’s open petals. The flower of life is an ancient symbol and appears in many different cultures, from Ancient Rome to the Islamic world and Europe. For this reason, the flower of life represents unity and the miracle of creation, making it a very meaningful tattoo choice.

20. Watercolor Tattoo

The watercolor tattoo technique is the ideal partner for a delicate floral tattoo. It creates a beautiful, diffused wash of color over your inking, giving it a unique and feminine finish. Flowers with a natural gradient color in their petals look particularly attractive when inked with the watercolor technique – think magnolias, violets, and roses. Alternatively, your artist can use the watercolor technique to create an abstract flower bouquet.

21. Small Flower Tattoo

A small flower tattoo is a perfect option if you are looking to get your first tattoo. Smaller inkings take less time to complete – meaning they are generally less painful and less expensive than larger pieces. Plus, small tattoos are trending for women right now. A small flower tattoo looks excellent when inked in unusual places like behind your ear, the side of your neck, or your hand.

22. Simple Flower Tattoo

Women who have a minimalist or modern aesthetic should consider a simple flower tattoo. That is because simple inkings have a timeless quality and delicate beauty that never goes out of style. One option is a single rose in black ink, which is a fresh take on one of the most classic tattoo designs. Elegant and understated, a simple flower tattoo retains a meaningful significance and never goes out of style.

23. Butterfly and Flower Tattoo

Butterflies are a popular tattoo choice for women because of their delicate beauty. Yet, they are also a meaningful design, representing transformation, resilience, and rebirth, as well as freedom. For those reasons, butterflies are the perfect element to add to your flower tattoo. A popular design is a butterfly with floral wings. Not only is it a pretty and feminine tattoo option, but it also has a deep meaning, symbolizing the beauty of life after a period of change.

24. Skull and Flower Tattoo

While some women may see a skull tattoo as intimidating and masculine, they can be adapted into a feminine yet still Gothic design when combined with flowers. The skull and flower design represents a reminder of the transient nature of life, and to appreciate the beauty in every day. It can also represent a new life after death. For the perfect delicate skull-and-flower tattoo, try a lightly shaded black-ink design with fine line work, rather than thick and bold shapes.

25. Lion Flower Tattoo

Like flowers, lions are some of the most popular and meaningful tattoo designs. These majestic animals are associated with royalty, confidence, and courage. However, while many call the lion the ‘king of the jungle,’ it is lionesses who hunt. Therefore, many women consider the lion to be a symbol of female power. Adding floral elements to your lion tattoo adds another feminine touch, balancing the strength of the animal with the beauty of the flowers.

26. Tribal Flower Tattoo

The tribal art style has been popular for decades. Using only black ink, it involves using smooth, curved lines to create fluid tattoo designs that move with the body. For that reason, a tribal flower tattoo would look great on a curved placement, such as your hip, shoulder, or thigh. One of the sexiest options for a floral tattoo, a tribal flower design, still looks delicate and feminine.

27. Geometric Flower Tattoo

One of the most prominent tattoo trends in recent years is geometric designs. Adding shapes – such as triangles and squares – as well as dots, lines, and patterns to your tattoo can give it a unique and futuristic style. Flowers look great with geometric elements because of the contrast between the angular shapes and the soft, organic curves of the flower.

28. Flower Heart Tattoo

A heart tattoo represents love, and is there any better way to say ‘I love you’ than with flowers? One of the most emotional and beautiful floral designs is the flower heart tattoo. The inking is a perfect tribute to a loved one and can be customized to add personal elements. For your mother, add traditional mother’s day flowers like carnations and pink roses. Alternatively, a flower heart for your best friend could have yellow roses, orange gerberas, and sunflowers.

29. Forget Me Not Flower Tattoo

As the name suggests, forget-me-not flowers represent true love and loyalty. These tiny blue flowers were often given in Victorian times as a symbol of devotion and faithfulness. As a result, they make for a beautiful tattoo tribute to your other half, or you could get a couple’s tattoo or matching inking with your best friend. The ideal placement for a forget-me-not tattoo is somewhere you will always be able to see it, such as your wrist, hand, finger, or forearm.

30. Birth Flower Tattoos

While many people know their birthstone, few know their birth flower. The tradition is different in the US and the UK, so check to see which one applies to you. In the US, the January birth flower is the carnation, February is primrose, March is daffodil, April is the sweet pea, May is lily of the valley, and June is rose. Meanwhile, July is water lily, August is gladiolus, September is Morning Glory, October is calendula, November is the chrysanthemum, and December is jonquil.

Raise your hand if you need a vacation! Here are some unforgettable stays

Aren’t you going to venture far this year? You are not alone. And you’ll be surprised at how many off-grid leaks there are in the UK. Seek comfort in the Scottish Highlands for breathtaking scenery or discover the delights of Wales.

Maybe you’ll find the necessary escape a few steps from the coastal county of Down, or you’ll fall in love with the English countryside again. With so much to explore not far from your door, where will your adventure begin?

England

The Fire Pit Camp

Traditionally a lively center for families, weddings, yoga retreats and bachelorette parties, Fire Pit Camp has been waiting to come back to life after the blockade.

The eco-conscious boutique glamping site in Norfolk, run by sisters Rachel Hughes-Green, 42, and Sarah Hughes-Wade, 47, typically hosts big events and long weekends, but will reopen for the first time on a camping trip with the bubbles of family for this month.

In this season the Fire Pit Camp will be a camping “without a trace”

“Investigations have hit the roof for people who want to stay in the UK,” says Rachel. ‘After all this isolation, it is very useful for people to reconnect with each other and with nature. It will be nice to see people at the camp. ”

During the block, the owners worked on a new pizza oven, rebuilding the common bathrooms and rebuilding their traditional-style bender tent made of local copper hazelnut. But the biggest change of all was their new Covid secure system.

“We always encourage conscious camping – avoiding disposable plastic and disposable festival goods – but this season we will be a” leave no trace “camping, where you will remove your rubbish and bring your beds,” says Rachel.

“It means that common spaces like the kitchen are always clean and ready for the next bubble.”

‘We designed our friendly messages because we don’t like many rules, but we want people to be safe. We are also making sure that people feel one hundred percent well and feel comfortable before arriving by taking payment just ten days before. It gives them that greater freedom and flexibility. ‘

Campers will also notice new signs around the camp, encouraging them at a social distance.

Our hidden gems

Cycling places

‘Norfolk is a wonderful county – there is so much to do! Off the beaten track, take one of the fantastic cycling routes on Peddars Way. ”

Follow the current

‘For a quiet day out, why not go kayaking or canoeing through the city of Norwich? Our friends a Pub and paddle it will allow you to rent a canoe for one of the three picturesque routes that stop in all the best local pools of water. ”

See the seals

‘We recently visited Brancaster Beach and were surprised at how peaceful it was. After a short walk along the estuaries, you may be lucky to spot some seals. ”

Slieve Donard Resort and Spa

For the team of Slieve Donard Coastal Resort and Spaclosing operations for Covid-19 in March was “devastating to say the least”.

“We are used to 250 guests a day and 50 employees (plus a hotel dog) who breathe life in this Victorian hotel,” says general manager Michael Weston, 40. “I can’t explain how nice it is to be back.”

Slieve Donard Resort and Spa the strategy is “do it well, do it safely and grow safely”

From the day they closed – only the second time in 123 years – they were carefully coordinating the reopening, initially with limited capacity as part of a strategy “to do it well, do it safely and grow safely”.

Michael says: ‘When it comes to rooms, cleanliness levels have always been exceptional, but now we are giving further emphasis to key contact points.

‘For new arrivals, most of the check-in procedure is now done on
telephone to reduce contact times at the reception. At the reception, guests can now expect one-way systems and a new hand sanitization unit, but the same great service. ”

Slieve Donard’s award-winning spa facilities and gym also underwent a full risk assessment to reopen safely in July. The swimming pool should follow
next month.

Some things may be different, but good hospitality will never change

“Our gym is socially spaced, with maximum capacity,” says Michael. ‘For spa appointments, we now need missions to shower before treatment, while post-therapy care can be online rather than face-to-face. Team members will wear PPE and their schedules will have additional time for sanitizing treatment rooms.

‘We want guests to know that we are a safe environment for your holidays at home. Things may look slightly different, but the hospitality we are famous for will never change. ‘

Our hidden gems

Coastal climb

‘One activity in which you will barely see a soul is climbing Slieve Donard, the highest peak in Northern Ireland. There are so many catwalks and different routes that you won’t come across crowds. It is a spectacular experience. ‘

Distillery tour

‘Some distilleries in the area are relatively new and worth a look. The Whitewater Brewery reopens for tours booked by the end of the month. ”

Scotland

Although the UK blockade has brought an entirely new meaning to isolation, vacationers are still looking for secluded havens in Scotland this summer.

Cottage owners Sonja De Rijk, 54, and husband Steve Shields, 60, have been overrun by interest in their four peaceful, self-contained lake retreats in the Highlands since they were able to reopen on July 3.

Loch Awe cabins are now available for maximum insulation

“It’s isolation, but in a different way,” says Sonja, whose Loch Awe lodges – complete with wood-fired jetted tubs – are typically fully occupied for 340 nights a year. ‘It was heartbreaking to close in March. Steve and I do it all because we love it.

Within a few weeks, the entrepreneurs began to channel their energy into the landscape, renewing and making investments that guaranteed the safety of themselves and future guests.

Sonja adds: “The booths have been completely repainted and are now equipped with dishwashers for better hygiene and standard-sized freezers to allow guests to bring their supplies to the supermarket.”

Perhaps the biggest investment was a medical-grade ULV nebulizer, which helps disinfect the cabins when guests check out.

‘For us, it’s not about attracting people to the cabins, but about reassuring guests that we have stepped beyond the guidelines.

“Everything we have done to prepare has been shared on Facebook to show how far we are going and our website is constantly updated with the latest information on the coronavirus. We want people to know that Scotland is open and we are too. we! ‘

Our hidden gems

Accept the challenge

‘There are walks galore here. One sport we love in the Scottish Highlands is “Munro Bagging”, where you try to climb as many Munros – mountains over 3000 feet – “.

Gastropub grub

‘From Loch Awe, the nearest supermarket is 40 minutes away – this vacation spot is so secluded. But if you’re looking for a great meal out, I always recommend it The Kilchrenan Inn, which reopens this week. ”

Watch for wildlife

‘Loch Awe is one of the most beautiful in Scotland. All our cabins have fishing rights, so you can rent a boat and go on the water for a fantastic day out. Lately, the wildlife has been absolutely fantastic: watch out for martens, deer, osprey, eagles, owls. ”

Wales

The owners of a luxury glamping site on the Llŷn peninsula had all their hands on the bridge for the arrival of residents in Britain.

Closing the famous resort of Abersoch in March was a “life change” for Angie, 53, and Derek Howarth, 56, who invested their savings in NightSky Glamping in 2016.

Imagine staying in this hut that looks at the stars on the Llŷn peninsula

The site is a fascinating mix of self-contained tents for safaris and bells – each with its own hot tub and private bathroom – along with vacation homes for those who prefer not to camp.

“We are extremely excited to reopen,” says Angie. “It’s a beautiful coastal place with lots of open space, so it’s a great place for families to spend time in their bubbles.”

Check-in and check-in now take place in an open tent instead of our reception

Entrepreneurs followed guidelines set by the Welsh government to secure their Covid site, as Angie explains.

‘We have introduced additional cleaners, new sanitizing stations and reduced the interiors to limit what is shared between guests. There is also a bigger gap between check out and check in, which now takes place in an open tent instead of our reception.

“We hope everyone respects each other’s space and feels safe.”

Our hidden gems

No ordinary ice cream

“A novelty of the village in 2018 is a delicious café called Two Islands, where they make all their delicious ice cream on the spot, using Welsh dairy products and natural ingredients.”

Quiet coastal Wales

‘There is a beautiful coastal path that runs all around
the peninsula. Stop outside Mickey’s Boatyard Café for a takeaway snack and you might spot some dolphins. ”

Dinner by the sea

‘Many people stay on site during their stay because they came for an escape. During day trips to Abersoch, try the Sun Inn in Llanengan for delicious food. ”
